Birth is raw, intense, tender, and deeply human. It is unpredictable and powerful, and often a blur once it has passed. Things do not always go to plan, and the story rarely looks exactly the way we imagine it might.
This work is not about perfection or posed moments. It is about documenting what actually happens. The strength. The support. The waiting. The moments of uncertainty. The relief. The first breath. The tears. Hands finding each other. The silence. The first cries. The whole of it.
I am there quietly, observing the story as it unfolds. Simply witnessing what happens, exactly as it is, without getting in the way.

FAQ

What can I expect from you during my birth?
I work in a documentary way. I do not direct, stage, or interrupt what is happening. I follow what is already unfolding and document it as it is, rather than trying to create anything new. Sometimes that means staying back and letting moments play out. Other times it means being close enough to capture the details you may not even realise happened until you see them later.
I am there to document the story of your birth, not to shape it.
If at any point you need space, privacy, or for me to step out, that is always respected, without question.
How far will you travel, and how long does it take you to get to my hospital or birth location?
I work primarily across Brisbane and surrounding areas. Travel time depends on location, time of day, and traffic. This is something we talk through ahead of time so expectations are clear and plans are realistic.
When is the best time to book during pregnancy?
The earlier, the better. Birth bookings are limited because of the on-call nature of the work.
How does “on-call” work?
From 38 weeks, I am on call for your birth. That means my phone is on loud, with me day and night, and I am ready to head your way once you let me know things are moving.
I structure my schedule during this time so I can respond quickly. I usually wait until labour is established before coming, but this is always discussed in advance and planned around your location and circumstances.
I book a limited number of births each month so I can be fully available during on-call periods.
What happens if baby comes very quickly and you don’t arrive in time?
Birth can be unpredictable. If a birth happens too quickly and I don’t arrive in time, we talk through next steps together. This might include documenting the hours after birth instead.
