Birth photography is not about perfection or posed moments. It is about quietly documenting what actually happens. The strength. The support. The waiting. The relief. The first breath. The way hands find each other when words are too much.
My role is simple.
To be calm. To be unobtrusive. To honour the space you are in.
How I work during a birth
I work in a documentary style. I do not direct, stage or interrupt what is unfolding. I move gently. I follow the room. I photograph what is already happening rather than trying to create anything new.
Sometimes that means stepping back and letting moments breathe. Sometimes it means being close enough to capture the small details you may never realise happened until you see them later.
I am there to support the story of your birth, not shape it.
If at any point you need space, privacy or for me to step out, that is always respected without question.
